Tenda wema....
This photo which was taken by a photojournalist on Madaraka day has won accolades from thousands of Kenyans. And the general assumption was that it was patriotic mother and daughter attending the national event.
I have since established contacts with the elderly lady's grandchildren, actually 3 of them. And this is what I gathered.
107 years old GLADY KAGURE from Laburra, MWEIGA- Nyeri County was in company of other elderly women taken to Kabiruini for Madaraka celebrations. They went by bus.
On reaching the place, there was a scramble for seating positions which were filling up. And elderly Gladys could not manage to join the rush for seats.
The unidentified lady on sympathizing with elderly Glady's plight opted to put on hold her priorities and instead put cucu on her back to secure her a seat.
Please note the two are not related. They only bonded as one was helping the other.
This unidentified lady is a rare species. She has a special heart. Quite a lesson for us on this Sunday morning as we visit our churches for weekly spiritual refilling. Kindness per excellence.
If you love what she did, speak blessings to her. Yes, let's encourage her to keep doing good.
Blessed Sunday.
