Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is reported to be shifting his political ambitions from Nairobi to Machakos county.
Sonko, as he is popularly known in the political circles had earlier been poised to vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat using the Jubilee Party Ticket.
Nairobi senator Mike Sonko to vie for Governorship in Machakos?
The Star newspaper reports that Sonko has heightened his political activities in Machakos with rumours that he may be dropping Nairobi politics and vie for governor in Machakos, a seat that is currently held by former government spokesperson Alfred Mutua.
‘ ’Mike Sonko activities in Machakos have tongues wagging with some saying he has changed base from Nairobi for the 2017 elections,’’ The paper reported on October 14, 2016.
